(More customer reviews)I listened to the audio version of this book, performed by Jim Dale. I rather enjoyed listening to this book. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is by far my favorite book in the series. I love the games in it and the mystery of "who done it".
However, there were several things I did not enjoy about the audio version. The first is that a lot of time the voice the Jim Dale did for Hermione was extremely whinny and I wanted to throttle him/her. It grated on my nerves. On the other side of that is that I really appreciated that pretty much every character had a different voice and I could pretty much know who was talking.
It has probably been 8 years since I read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was good to remember why it was that I fell in love with this series and this book. The characters are so personable and the mystery and the drama so great. I love the details. I love how J.K. Rowling has the ability to draw us all into the world that she created.
I always wished that I was magical after reading a Harry Potter book. I love Hogwarts and I love the characters. I have to admit that if I were sorted, I would probably end up in Slytherin. I definitely usually prefer the "dark characters" to the "good characters". Admittedly this review is a bit jaded because I am listening to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix right now and it is this book where I came to despise the character of Harry Potter. Anyway, that is for another review another day.

Rating: 5/5 because seriously, it is Harry Potter and this book saved me when I was 13, almost literally.
